I’ve realized something. I believe that the blog that bears my name needs to be a reflection of me. What does that mean? It means that since this is my blog that I have a right to be random. That’s right. You heard correctly. I’m tired of planning a blog and sticking with a theme.
I am under the assumption that my name, or rather the blog that bears my name should be something I am proud of. And while I love all of my online projects, I needed a place where I can take off my shoes, put on my favorite music, and do whatever. Cook something maybe - like the Kahlua Hot Chocolate Cake that’s baking in the oven.
So, that’s the direction - or should I say non direction - where this blog is headed. Look for thoughts. Posts on travel. Recipes. Links to my articles. Tips to run your business. Whatever. It will all be here because I decided to. And that’s a good enough reason for me. My “niche” is that this blog does not have a niche. And if you like it or not, at least I’m having a good time.
Now what beverage should I serve with the cake? Chamomile tea? An Irish Coffee?

That’s a great attitude, Katherine!
I often find myself restricted by the niche of my own blog, especially when I just want to rant about something completely unrelated. The freedom to write about whatever is on your mind must be wonderful. We can keep niche blogs alongside one suited to the randomness of being human.
I’m looking forward to watching the amorphous nature of KatherineHuether.com
Love it!! you are doing what you do best~ being yourself! :))
Rebecca, that is exactly what I am doing - keeping some niche blogs and maintaining this as a random thing. And Shailee, that’s exactly right! I am best at being myself.
